Renault unveils the new Clio: what has changed in the sixth generation.
According to Korrespondent.net: The Renault company has presented the sixth generation of its Clio model. Although the car retains the CMF-B platform, it has received entirely new body panels. Unlike previous versions, diesel modifications are not planned – the company focuses on gasoline and hybrid engines.
Body and Design Features
The body of the new model has been extended by 67 millimeters and now measures 4116 millimeters in length. It has become slightly wider and taller, with the wheelbase increasing by 8 millimeters. The design of the model features elements borrowed from the Emblème concept, as well as traits characteristic of Ford and Mazda. The trunk volume remains unchanged, but the loading height has been lowered.
Interior and Technologies
The interior of the Clio resembles the electric Renault 5. In higher trims, the digital instrument panel is integrated with the multimedia screen, while the base version has a separate touchscreen display. All versions support Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Google services. In top versions Esprit Alpine, wireless charging and Alcantara trim are available. Among the options is a 410-watt Harman Kardon audio system tuned by French composer Jean-Michel Jarre.

Engines and Assistants
At the start of sales, there will be no electric version – this role is currently fulfilled by the Renault 5, although the electric Clio is already in development. The engine lineup includes a 1.8 E-Tech hybrid with 160 hp, which can travel up to 80% of urban routes on electric drive and accelerate the car to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, which is one second faster than its predecessor. Also, a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine TCe with 115 hp will be available in Europe with a manual transmission or a 6-speed 'robot' with two clutches, as well as an Eco-G variant with 120 hp running on liquefied gas.
The new Clio has introduced 29 electronic assistants, among which are the emergency stop system, adaptive cruise control, and a 'safety rating' feature with tips for the driver. A special My Safety Switch button allows you to turn off up to five systems simultaneously.
When to Expect on the Market
The new Renault Clio will go on sale at the end of 2025 in Evolution, Techno, and Esprit Alpine versions. The price has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be less than 20,000 euros.
It is worth reminding that it was previously reported that Renault updated the ultra-cheap minivan Triber.
