President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky sincerely congratulated the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their professional holiday on the first Sunday of August. In his greeting, he expressed gratitude for the reliable protection of Ukrainian skies. The message was published on Telegram on August 3.

This year, the Day of the Air Forces fell on August 3. Zelensky expressed his appreciation to all those who diligently work to protect Ukrainian skies from threats posed by Russia. He also honored the memory of heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country.
“Thank you to the pilots, engineers, technical staff, anti-aircraft gunners, everyone who trains, and all who help. To our people who show results in protecting Ukraine. Eternal glory and memory to all our warriors who did not return from missions and perished while protecting lives.”
In particular, the president posthumously awarded the Order of Freedom to Victoria Roschina and met with the undisputed world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for protecting Ukrainian skies and honored the memory of heroes. The president also posthumously awarded one of the soldiers and met with a famous Ukrainian athlete.
