According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian lawmaker Fedor Venislavsky has pushed back against President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's suggestion that parliamentarians could be mobilized for military service, arguing that such measures would do little to boost motivation among MPs. Instead, he stressed the urgent need for systematic dialogue between branches of government, calling it essential for effective governance during wartime.

President Zelenskyy recently stated that any lawmaker wishing to resign their seat under martial law should either continue working in parliament or join the military on the front lines. But Venislavsky was skeptical of this approach, saying,

“Any statements about negative consequences for deputies if they stop working in the Verkhovna Rada — I think these are political statements.”
