Diplomacy Needs Silence: Zelensky Announced Ukraine's Readiness for Ceasefire.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke at the summit of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) participant countries in Oslo, where he stated Ukraine's readiness for a long-term ceasefire in the country for 30 days. This was confirmed during his online speech.
In his statement, the President emphasized the importance of moving towards peace and the absence of violence. He also noted that he is actively communicating with the USA and is doing everything possible to achieve a cessation of the conflict. Zelensky highlighted the importance of sanctions in the event of violations of the ceasefire agreements.
'Moscow must agree to a ceasefire, as only this can initiate real peace. Diplomacy needs silence,' the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
He also mentioned a planned meeting with coalition leaders and believes in successful cooperation to ensure security in the region. The summit also discussed steps to cease the conflict and put pressure on Russia.
