Ukrainians will increase the number of trains to Germany: details of the new schedule

According to ТСН: From December 2025, the number of cross-border trains between Poland and Germany will increase by 54%. Now there will be 17 trains running daily instead of 11.

This became possible thanks to data published at the beginning of 2025, according to which Germany first surpassed Poland in the number of Ukrainians who received temporary protection.

"Thus, in the new schedule for 2025–2026, thanks to close cooperation with Polish and German partners, Ukrzaliznytsia will synchronize Ukrainian routes with trains to Germany," it was reported in UZ.

Convenient transfers in Przemyśl

Train No. 51K Kyiv — Przemyśl

Arrival at 05:00. Perfect for transferring to EC134 Via Regia to Leipzig (departure 07:12). Leipzig is a major European railway hub with access to high-speed routes throughout the EU.

Train No. 63/64 Kharkiv — Przemyśl

Arrival at 16:59, then transfer to the night EN417 Carpatia to Prague and Munich (17:51). This is a direct route to Bavaria through the Czech capital.

Train No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia — Przemyśl

Arrival at 08:18. Passengers can transfer to EC58 Galicja to Berlin (09:09), one of the most popular destinations to the German capital.

All transfers are synchronized in the opposite direction, so the return to Ukraine will be just as comfortable.

Transfers in Chełm

Train No. 119/120 Dnipro — Chełm (with two transfers). Arrival at 18:08, then transfer to train No. 440 to Ustka (18:18).

In Warsaw Central, passengers make the next transfer at 21:31 to the train Warsaw — Berlin — Świnoujście, which arrives in Berlin at 06:00.

You can also get to Berlin by night trains EC430 and EC440, which depart respectively from Przemyśl and Chełm.

"Ukrzaliznytsia continues to expand international connections and synchronize them with European railway services," the company concluded.

It was previously reported that Ukrzaliznytsia will introduce 11 new trains. A new train schedule for 2025–2026 has been published, which will start on December 14.

According to the updates, 11 new routes will appear, including eight international and three domestic. The company will also increase the number of seats for passengers, which amounts to 2 million over the year.

Tickets for dates after December 14 are already available in the app and on the UZ website.

The increase in the number of trains between Poland and Germany will be a significant step in the development of railway connections in the region. It will improve transport integration, facilitate travel for Ukrainians, and create new opportunities for business and tourism in Europe. The time of transitions and interactions between different routes will also ensure comfort for passengers, making trains an increasingly attractive way to travel.
