Why does the Russian Federation accuse Ukraine of planning terrorist attacks? The Center for Countering Disinformation explained.

The head of Russia's foreign intelligence, Sergey Naryshkin, accused Ukraine and its partners of planning and carrying out terrorist attacks on Russian territory. However, the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) reports that these statements are false.
Sergey Naryshkin's accusations extend to the following situations:
- U.S. intelligence is providing Kyiv with data for strikes on civilian infrastructure in Russia;
- Ukraine was planning to seize and mine the Kursk nuclear power plant;
- Western intelligence agencies were preparing Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) for diversions on Russian territory;
- The West wants to use Ukrainians to destabilize the Eurasian region.
The CCD notes that Russia is trying to create an image of Ukraine as a "terrorist state" that threatens the world. They are also trying to sow distrust towards Ukrainians and intimidate countries providing aid to Kyiv.
"The statements of the head of Russia's foreign intelligence are lies, Naryshkin has no evidence to support his words. In reality, Russia is the main terrorist in the world, they conduct daily attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine and keep the world in fear by occupying the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and putting it at risk of nuclear disaster," it is reported.
Recall that the Russians failed the Kremlin's plan to reclaim the Kursk region by October. Now Vladimir Putin is demanding the FSB to correct the mistakes.
