The European Union's response to Russia's provocations
The EU's representative for foreign policy and security, Kaja Kallas, commented on how the European Union plans to respond to such actions by Russia.
“Russia has always been quite open about its goals. Its aim is to conquer Ukraine and also to rewrite the security architecture of Europe,”
she emphasized.
Kallas is convinced that Europe must thwart these intentions.
“Because if we legitimize changing borders by force, we will have even more aggression around the world. Not only in Europe but elsewhere,”
the European diplomat noted.
Previously, Kaja Kallas also discussed the possibility of providing Ukraine with 140 billion euros from frozen Russian assets.
The events surrounding the situation in Ukraine and provocations from Russia require an urgent response from the international community. The European Union emphasizes its readiness to uphold the principles of international law and security, attempting to prevent new aggressive actions. Financial initiatives to support Ukraine remain important, as their implementation can significantly impact the stability of the region.
