DTEK warned Ukrainians about strict power outage schedules on August 27.
Ukraine is likely to return to stabilization outage schedules tomorrow, August 27. It is expected that during the day, cities Kyiv, Kyiv region, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions will be subject to 3rd and 4th outage queues. This means the government will restrict power during certain Time intervals. Energy experts warn of a high likelihood of implementing light gray outage zones in the schedules.
Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, member of the Supervisory Board of "Ukrenergo" Yuri Boyko noted that the consequences of the massive attack on the power system regarding future power outages are not yet known. However, the plans for winter preparation will have to be adjusted.
On the morning of August 26, the occupiers carried out a massive attack on Ukraine. The Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Station near Vyshgorod was one of the attacked energy facilities. According to published video footage, a fire and destruction were visible at the scene. The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation states that due to the hit on the Kyiv HPP dam, there are no threats to it and its destruction by missiles is impossible.
Also, "Ukrenergo" issued an order for emergency power outages.
