Two-thirds of Ukrainian office workers want to switch to freelancing: survey results.
Ukrainian office workers are increasingly interested in the opportunity to work as freelancers, according to research from the International Staffing Portal HeadHunter. Specifically, two-thirds of respondents expressed a desire to try their hand in this field. It turns out that the majority want this due to the flexible schedule, the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, and to control their own work process. However, only one in five people believe that freelancing increases work productivity.
It is not surprising that IT specialists remain the most popular among freelancers
It is noted that the biggest obstacles on the way to freelancing are unstable income, lack of payment guarantees, and the difficulty of career development without the support of colleagues. Nevertheless, in 2016, the desire of Ukrainians to start a career in freelancing noticeably increased.
Ukrainians are increasingly thinking about the possibility of freelancing, as it allows for a flexible schedule, the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, and to control their work process. However, many people believe that freelancing does not allow for increased work productivity due to the lack of stable income and the opportunity to build a career without support from colleagues. Research showed that in 2016, the desire to work as freelancers became more widespread among Ukrainian office workers.
