According to TSN.ua: Two young Ukrainian soldiers, known by their call signs 'Kara' and 'Liza', were killed on February 17 while evacuating wounded comrades in the Zaporizhzhia sector. A Russian drone struck them as they performed their lifesaving duty. Serhiy Volkov, the commander of the ground robotic systems company of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, paid tribute to the fallen, stating:

He added that their funeral was held on February 17, emphasizing: "This is not the end, the fight continues and evil will be punished. Honor and memory to my girls."

On the same day in the Donetsk region, Russian shelling killed three Ukrainian energy workers who were carrying out repairs at the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant.
