Expert on Wintering in Ukraine: How to Ensure Complete Autonomy.
Experts advise Ukrainians to prepare for autonomous living due to infrastructure destruction
According to inkorr.com: In the current situation, when Russia deliberately destroys electrical, heating, and gas infrastructure, Ukrainians should be ready for a cold winter and use fully autonomous solutions. Viktor Kurtev, an energy expert, shares useful tips for surviving in crisis conditions.
'Everyone who prepared for the black day by buying power banks and diesel generators can rejoice. This black day has come,' said the expert with a touch of humor.
Kurteev warns that the mass use of electric heaters may exacerbate the situation at the local level. He categorically does not recommend using them due to the possible accidents in the electrical networks.
'Switching to electric heating is not an option. We will simply burn out the distribution and residential networks at 0.4 kilovolts. If everyone switches to this, the system will not withstand,' emphasized the expert.
In this context, Kurtev advises using mobile and non-centralized heating and life support methods.
Expert's Tips for Preparing for Crisis Conditions
Autonomous Heating: Consider the possibility of purchasing heaters that do not depend on electricity or central heating, such as gas heaters or alcohol stoves.
Autonomous Electricity: Diesel or gasoline generators, as well as charging stations and power banks, are necessary to meet minimum energy and communication needs.
Preparing for autonomous living is becoming even more relevant due to the threats associated with the destruction of energy infrastructure. It is important for every citizen to be aware of the risks and prepare for possible heating generation outages that may lead to dangerous conditions. This is not only about comfort but also about safety in such difficult times.
