A group of former employees of Donald Trump helped create the pro-Russian website Intelligencer, which spreads conspiracy theories about Russia's war against Ukraine. This was reported by The Guardian.

The site's activity began in 2022 in Australia with the little-known radio “TNT,” which often featured pro-Russian views on the war in Ukraine and conspiracy theories about Covid-19. One of the radio station's owners, Jennifer Squires, said Intelligencer was created to complement “TNT,” and for its creation, they invited American journalist George Eliason. He has lived in eastern Ukraine for over 10 years and previously appeared on RT, where he accused the Ukrainian government of the war in Ukraine.

Subsequently, Squires and co-owner Mike Ryan abandoned the idea of creating the website and tried to distance themselves from the project, but Eliason continued the work, involving people who had previously appeared on his radio show.

The site launched at the end of 2023. Among the board members are former Trump aides and employees, including former political aide George Papadopoulos and his wife Simona Mangiante, as well as Anna Soroka, an advisor to the leader of the so-called “LNR” Leonid Pasechnik.

George Papadopoulos worked as a foreign policy adviser in Trump's 2016 campaign. Two years later, he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with a Kremlin-linked individual who told him that Russia had compromising material on Hillary Clinton. His wife Mangiante published an interview on Intelligencer in January with former Ukrainian MP Andriy Derkach. He repeated claims about alleged bribery involving the Biden family in Ukraine.

Subsequently, Mangiante, together with pro-Kremlin American director of Ukrainian origin Igor Lopatonok, released a documentary about Hunter Biden titled “Hunter's Laptop: Requiem for Ukraine.” The screenplay for the film was written by Eliason.
