«Energoatom» to Manufacture Unique Equipment for NPPs Previously Supplied Only by the Russian Federation.

«Energoatom» is launching production lines for unique components for the repair of Ukrainian NPPs. This was reported by the company's press service.

«We are talking about specific spare parts necessary for the operation of domestic power units. Previously, such equipment was supplied only by the Russian Federation, which was a monopolist in this market segment», the report says.

«Energoatom» notes that this equipment is suitable for VVER-440 reactors, which are operated not only by Ukraine but also by a number of European countries: «Thus, «Energoatom» can become a supplier of unique equipment for European nuclear power plants».

Recall that on August 27, it became known that «Energoatom» took a new step towards the implementation of the project for the construction of the Chigirin NPP. According to Ukraine's strategy until 2050, it is planned to increase the capacity of domestic nuclear generation. «Energoatom» is working on finding new sites for the construction of facilities.
