The Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko reported that the energy system of Ukraine is operating stably, but there is a threat of new attacks from Russia. He noted that recent attacks were unpredictable and unique for this sector.
Massive strikes have been carried out again, there were 33 last year, which may affect the operation of generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity.
The Minister emphasized that the start of the heating season poses risks for the energy system and infrastructure and called for enhanced measures to prevent possible negative consequences. He also denied information about the possibility of Ukrainians freezing during the winter period due to problems with gas supply, stressing the increase in gas imports despite Russian shelling.
