Erdogan to Discuss War in Ukraine and Peace Initiatives with Trump.
According to ТСН: The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, supported the peace initiatives of his American counterpart, Donald Trump.
He shared this with journalists after Friday prayers. Erdogan noted that he plans to have a conversation with Trump on January 5 regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
“On Monday evening, we also have another conversation scheduled with Trump. We will have the opportunity to discuss issues regarding Russia and Ukraine, as well as the situation in Palestine,”
the President of Turkey announced. He emphasized that he continues to contact Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
“I continue to meet with Putin, Zelensky, Trump, and the leaders of European countries,”
he stressed. Erdogan also added that Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will participate in the next meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing,' which will take place in Paris.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the start of important diplomatic peace negotiations at the beginning of this year. In particular, a meeting of national security advisors is scheduled for January 3, and on January 6, participants of the 'Coalition of the Willing' will meet.
This activity of diplomatic contacts indicates the ongoing efforts of international leaders in search of solutions to the extremely complex situation in the region. Dialogues between Turkey, the USA, and Ukraine's neighboring countries may be crucial for achieving lasting peace.
