Kaja Kallas: Concessions to Russia are the biggest mistake that will only fuel aggression.

According to FREEДOM: Ukrainians, Europeans, and Americans are working together to achieve peace in Ukraine, emphasized the European Union's foreign affairs and security policy chief Kaja Kallas. Russia continues to bomb and kill Ukrainians, reminding them of the need for peace. Partners of Kyiv should increase pressure on the aggressor, Kallas explained.

Kallas cautiously reminds that it is important to start with a ceasefire and ensure security for Ukraine before any diplomatic process. In this way, it is possible to force Putin to keep his promises, and for this, Kallas believes it is necessary to increase pressure on Russia. The US and EU are actively preparing new sanctions against Russia to make it stop its aggression.

'Putin depends on movements that harm the Russian economy. The outflow of population, sanctions, and military operations have an impact on him. Therefore, it is important that the US leads, constantly pressuring Russia,' explained Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

In the meantime, the Russian Foreign Minister postponed the meeting between Putin and Zelensky until an agenda is developed. The President of Ukraine emphasized the need for strict sanctions in the event of diplomatic failure to resolve the conflict. Also, according to Zelensky, partners are ready to assist in resolving the situation in Ukraine.

The efforts from Ukraine, the EU, and the US indicate a serious approach to achieving peace, while the other side – Russia – is only stalling and trying to avoid responsibility. The active actions of international partners in this situation testify to a common desire for stability in the territory of Ukraine.
