The three detained children, one of whom was born in 2012, are suspected of being involved in the explosions, which the police believe are the result of 'a dispute among criminals'.
District operations chief Rune Hekkelstrand noted that further arrests are possible.
The investigation is ongoing, and the police believe that several other individuals may be involved in the incident.
Authorities urged residents to stay away from windows, as there is a possibility of more explosive items being present.
The first reports of explosions came in at 9 PM. A police spokesperson confirmed that the grenade was detonated in a controlled manner.
Witnesses also noticed drones flying over the area.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

The explosions occurred near the university campus and 500 meters from the royal palace and the Israeli embassy.
This happened almost immediately after authorities sent an emergency notification to the mobile phones of Oslo residents, warning about the explosion. The message stated:
“An explosion occurred in the area of (name) Pilestredet. Given that an explosive device is still in the area, the police ask people to stay away from windows.”
Currently, the police do not plan to evacuate the area.
The area remains closed, which is likely to affect traffic, including trams passing through this zone.
Local residents told journalists that the explosions were so loud that they 'burst eardrums'. One remarked:
“There was a big bang.”
Another witness said he smelled smoke near Bislett Stadium.
The police confirmed that the explosions were the result of a planted hand grenade and added that other unexploded devices were found. The grenade, according to preliminary data, was left on the tram line.
The rescue service and fire brigade also arrived at the scene to assist the police.
The incident took place in the popular Bislett area, known among families, where there are many residential, commercial, and restaurant establishments.
This case occurred almost a day after reports of drones flying near Oslo and Copenhagen airports.
