Finnish intelligence closely monitors the US position on Russia.

Finland monitors the US position on Russia
The head of Finland's Security and Intelligence Service Supo, Juha Marttius, stated that Supo is carefully studying the US intelligence position on Russia under Trump.
In its national security review, Supo named Russia as the main threat to Finland, as the countries share a 1,340-kilometer border and Finland joined NATO in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
After a conflict with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Donald Trump changed his position on Russia and suspended military assistance to Ukraine. However, he continues to cooperate with Finnish intelligence.
'This is a development that we are closely monitoring. Other European security services, which are allies of the US, are also doing the same,' Marttius told reporters.
Trump's rapprochement with Russia has not yet affected intelligence cooperation between Finland and the US.
'If it turns out that the US is reducing its interest in countering Russia, every Western country must consider new forms of cooperation and develop its own efforts,' he added.
In its review, Supo stated that the security threat from Russia will continue to grow, even when the war in Ukraine ends, as Russia will be able to concentrate its resources on other directions.
