Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, during her speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos emphasized that the European economy is the most integrated with the US economy. She also noted that a large number of American jobs depend on trade with Europe.
'The US supplies us with over half of our liquefied natural gas, and the trade volume between our countries amounts to 1.5 trillion euros, which is equal to 30% of global merchandise trade,' von der Leyen stated.
The President of the European Commission also highlighted that the European side will focus on conducting research of interests and readiness for negotiations. She emphasized the importance of a pragmatic approach, maintaining principles, and adhering to agreements.
