Three weeks after the arrival of the first F-16 aircraft in Ukraine, Russian targets were shot down.

Great to see them in action.

F-16 aircraft were spotted flying with air-to-air weapons guided by infrared AIM-9 and radar-guided AIM-120. It is noted that they do not have air-to-ground weapons, although they are compatible with Ukrainian anti-radiation missiles and GPS-guided bombs.

Ukraine arms its F-16s with AIM-120B missiles, which have a range of 64 km. For closer combat, they use AIM-9L/Ms, which can hit targets several miles away.

The first sorties of Ukrainian F-16s were directed against Russian cruise missiles. With the arrival of more aircraft, F-16s will be able to counter targets that can shoot back, such as Russian fighters and air defense batteries.

The US reprogrammed electronic radio emission warfare on F-16 fighters transferred to Ukraine from Belgium, Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands.

President Zelensky reported that Ukraine used F-16s to shoot down missiles during the latest massive attack from Russia.
