Rivne 'Veres' footballer explained how he manages to avoid mobilization without reservation.
'Veres' midfielder Vitaliy Dakhnovskyi explained that since club footballers are not reserved, he is currently pursuing higher education. However, when asked by the journalist about his studies, the athlete could not name his specialty and educational degree. This became known from an interview on the 'Brutal Football' channel.
The journalist asked Dakhnovskyi about the current reservation situation in 'Veres' regarding mobilization. 'At the moment we are just like everyone else. There is no reservation of any kind,' the footballer replied.
The interviewer was surprised because, according to him, first league clubs are reserved, and second league clubs too, but 'Veres' plays in the top – premier league. To which Dakhnovskyi declared that he does not understand the topic of footballers' reservation from mobilization.
'I don't understand this, I just study at the college here. This will be my second education because the first was a vocational school,' explained the footballer.
The journalist clarified with Dakhnovskyi whether he is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or a master's degree. But here too, the footballer replied that he doesn't know.
'I don't know. I study 'gideous'. I just can't pronounce this word. I just don't know what it's called,' Dakhnovskyi said. The interviewer clarified whether the athlete studies to become a geodesist, to which he answered affirmatively.
'It might be a bachelor's, And then I'll probably go for a master's if I'm able to study because I don't really like studying,' the footballer confessed. He added that he currently studies but doesn’t skip training.
Recall that in Ukraine, in 2024, out of 100 thousand people entering postgraduate studies, more than 90% are men of conscription age, who already have a master’s degree. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.
By the way, men of conscription age are massively storming universities. Thus, Ukrainian higher educational institutions record an unprecedented increase in contract students. Compared to last year, the number of new students in the paid form of education increased by almost 40%, and if only men are singled out – by 82%.
Changes in admission rules
As known, the Ministry of Education and Science changes the rules of admission. All because with the start of the great war, there was a rush for postgraduate studies, as education in this form gives a deferment from mobilization. This is reported by the Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi.
