Security guarantees for Ukraine at the NATO level: what the German Foreign Minister stated.
Security guarantees for Ukraine must be as close as possible to the level provided by NATO membership, - Wadeful
According to FREEДOM: Security guarantees for Ukraine must be maximally similar to the level that NATO membership provides. This was stated by the German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful during the Open Government Day in Germany.
The minister called for expanding the list of guarantor states and involving the USA and other non-European countries in this process. According to Wadeful, about 30 states, including Japan, have already stated their readiness to support Ukraine.
“We cannot demand that Ukraine seriously consider territorial concessions if we do not provide it at least with real security guarantees from as many countries as possible. At a minimum, the other part of Ukrainian territory must be protected. Only this can serve as the basis for a strong peace in Europe.”, - the minister noted.
Earlier, the European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius stated that security guarantees for Ukraine, just like its membership in NATO and the EU, threaten not Russia, but the stability of the Putin regime.
The key aspect of this news is the importance of providing Ukraine with real security guarantees to ensure peace in the region. The positions expressed by prominent politicians confirm the necessity of broad support and protection of the country's territorial integrity.Read also
