Olympic Boxing Champion Files Lawsuit Against Social Network
Iman Khalif, an Olympic boxing champion from Algeria, has filed a lawsuit against the social network X. She accuses the platform of acts of cyberstalking following the spread of messages that she is a man or transgender.
Among those mentioned in the accusations are British writer J.K. Rowling, American businessman Elon Musk, and former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Khalif filed the complaint with the Center for Combating Online Hate at the Paris Prosecutor's Office. The athlete's lawyer emphasized that not only celebrities but also unknown users can be punished for offensive posts.
Khalif got involved in a gender scandal after a match at the Olympic Games in Paris. After the fight, she was accused of transitioning to transgender. However, after a testosterone level check, she was allowed to compete.
