According to The Sun: A tragedy occurred in Germany: the recently elected mayor was fatally wounded, receiving 13 stab wounds. Currently, her two children are under police investigation.
Law enforcement officials detained a teenager and his 17-year-old sister after the newly elected mayor became a victim of an attack near her home.

The 57-year-old social democrat was found with serious injuries in her apartment in Herdick, North Rhine-Westphalia, around noon on Monday.
The mayor, who is currently in critical condition, was able to give brief testimony to the police, according to Welt.
Stalzer was blocked at one point and managed to answer a few questions, where she reportedly said that “she knew who committed the crime,” but did not provide further details to the police.
A special homicide investigation team from the nearby city of Hagen is exploring all possible versions, including potential family conflicts.
This attack occurred just a few weeks after her adopted daughter allegedly attacked her with a knife.
Neighbors reported hearing an argument between the mother and son shortly before the arrival of the rescue helicopter.
Law enforcement officials detained both of Stalzer's children for questioning.
According to neighbors, such arguments between the daughter and mother happened quite often.
Photos show the son being carried out into the street in a blanket, but police have not officially announced the arrest of the children.
Preliminary reports suggest that the mayor suffered stab wounds to the abdomen and back and attempted to reach back to her home.

The son reported that he found his mother after the brutal attack.
The names of the attackers remain unknown - police have launched a manhunt for them following his testimony.
The 17-year-old daughter was also in the apartment at the time, according to Bild.
Due to the lack of witnesses who could have seen a group of attackers at the scene, investigators are checking whether the boy may be involved in the incident.
Earlier, investigators assured that the boy's detention was necessary to prevent possible destruction of evidence, Bild reported.
Stalzer was elected mayor for a town of 22,500 residents in the Ruhr region only after the second round of voting on September 28.
She barely won with 52.2% of the votes, competing against the candidate from the Christian Democratic Party, Fabian Konrad Haas.
Her term is set to begin on November 1.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz from the Christian Democratic Party (CDU) commented on the attack on social media: “We received news of a horrific act in Herdick,”
“It must be investigated quickly. We fear for the life of the new mayor and hope for her full recovery.”
The leader of the SPD parliamentary group in Berlin, Matthias Mirsch, noted that he hopes Stalzer “survives this horrific act.”
This incident evokes disturbing memories of the murder of conservative local government president Walter Lübcke in 2019, when he was shot by a far-right activist while smoking a cigarette on his balcony.
Lübcke was an active supporter of former Chancellor Angela Merkel's refugee policy.
Interior Minister Nancy Faeser warned that this case could confirm “the great danger posed by Islamist acts of violence.”
