President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Visit

During his trip to the Odesa region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the leadership of the Ukrainian Navy’s Armed Forces. Key security issues were on the agenda, particularly countering aerial strikes launched by Russian forces using Shahed drones and missiles. Zelenskyy stressed the urgent need to increase the number of helicopters to strengthen the country’s air defense capabilities. This visit underscores the ongoing efforts to protect critical infrastructure and civilian areas from relentless attacks.

“The main focus is on countering the constant Russian air attacks with Shaheds and missiles,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to reports, as of the start of July 4, enemy forces have struck Ukrainian defensive positions 71 times. Shelling occurred in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, signaling a rise in hostile activity in those areas. In response, Ukrainian troops continue to mount an active defense and eliminate enemy units.

At the same time, the president’s meeting with military leaders highlights the priority of strengthening national defense and countering aerial threats. The increase in enemy attacks, particularly in Sumy and Chernihiv regions, demands further responses from Ukraine and adjustments to its military strategy, mirroring the ever-changing situation on the front lines.
