Germany prepares for a thousand injured per day: how NATO is preparing for war with Russia.
Germany's preparation for a possible conflict
According to The Sun: The German Army is preparing for the possibility of treating 1,000 wounded soldiers daily due to the likelihood of conflict between NATO and Russia.
Berlin's plans suggest possible large-scale destruction that could result from such a conflict in Europe.

The Kremlin denies any intentions to wage war against Western nations. However, recent breaches of NATO airspace by Russian aircraft have raised concerns about Putin's intentions towards alliance countries.
Since Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Western nations are compelled to consider the possibility of a large-scale war on the European continent. This has led military leaders to warn of potential human losses if Moscow decides to attack the alliance.
Germany's chief surgeon Ralph Hoffmann told Reuters that the exact number of wounded will depend on the intensity of the fighting.
“Realistically, we are talking about a figure of around 1,000 wounded soldiers per day.”
Berlin is not the only country ramping up plans for mass casualties. France has also prepared its hospitals for military action, instructing health leaders to prepare for 'significant engagement' by March 2026.
Given the anticipated large number of injured soldiers, Paris has sent orders to integrate 'specific defense needs' into their plans. French hospitals must be ready to accept not only their wounded but also those of NATO allies.
Hoffmann also emphasized that Germany needs to take into account the experience of the war in Ukraine to adapt approaches to medical preparation on the battlefield.
“Ukrainians often have no opportunity to quickly evacuate their wounded, as drones are flying overhead.”
He insisted on the necessity for flexible transport options for the evacuation of the wounded, such as using 'hospital' trains, as was done in Ukraine.

General Carsten Breuer, Chief of Defense of Germany, issued a stern warning about the potential speed of a Russian attack.
He stated:
“Russia's military production represents a very serious threat that may become a reality as early as 2029.”
He also hinted that preparations must proceed without delay. The United Kingdom is also moving into active measures, renewing old contingency plans for potential Russian aggression.
“Britain is indeed in the crosshairs of Putin's mockery, and it is quite possible that we will be the first under attack.”
An attack on one NATO country will lead to a collective response from all other alliance nations. Recently, concerns over a possible confrontation with Russia have increased due to the incursions of Russian aircraft into NATO airspace.
Russian MiG-31 fighter jets recently entered the airspace of Estonia, prompting Western fighter jets to scramble for interception. There has also been activity from drones entering the airspace of Poland and Romania.

Thus, the regional tense state in Europe continues to rise. Warnings from military leaders about possible conflicts are prompting NATO countries to increase readiness to be prepared in case of threats. This underscores the seriousness of the situation and the urgency of actions to ensure the security of each member state of the alliance.
