The government plans to review the minimum subsistence level: what changes await Ukrainians

Ukraine, despite the ongoing war for more than two years, continues to pay pensions and other social benefits on time. It is important to pay attention to the changes in the minimum subsistence level for Ukrainians, stated the head of the parliamentary Finance Committee, Danilo Hetmantsev.

Payments in Ukraine are timely

According to Hetmantsev, even in the conditions of the largest armed conflict in Europe since 1945, Ukraine has not stopped fulfilling its social obligations and demonstrates financial stability.

'Pensions are indexed, thus we have frozen social standards for this year, but I will demand from the Government to index this in 2026',
he added.

Hetmantsev noted that Ukraine needs to address the issue of the minimum subsistence level, which is currently insufficient. He emphasized:

'This has been achieved through the de-shadowing of the economy. And against this background, we fulfill social standards'
.

Hetmantsev also stressed that this indicates the effective functioning of Ukraine's financial system even in wartime conditions. Recall that on July 16, the Council supported the draft law on amendments to the Budget of Ukraine for this year. MP Ruslan Gorbenko also reported on the intention to review the salary levels of military personnel in the rear.

It is noted that Ukraine, despite the circumstances, continues to pay pensions and other social benefits on time, showing financial stability and adherence to social standards in wartime conditions.
