Famous influencer arrested: how the fraudster offered sex for debts.
Arrest of an influential figure for food fraud
According to The Sun: A 34-year-old woman named Pei Chung, who sought to become popular on social media, was detained after attempting to trick her way out of paying bills. She offered her sexual services and positive reviews on Instagram to receive free meals at the best restaurants in New York City.
The authorities began an investigation after receiving at least 10 complaints about Chung's fraudulent actions, as she attempted to obtain free dining experiences.
“We took necessary measures to stop her actions,”- said the police in a statement.
This situation underscores the dangers of fraud in the gastronomy industry, especially when it comes to influencers on social media. The case of Pei Chung may prompt greater scrutiny of such practices and caution on the part of restaurants wishing to avoid inappropriate situations in the future.
