According to Espreso.tv: Military analyst Mykhailo Zyrokhov has provided an update on the battlefield, highlighting that Russian troops are now massing primarily around Kostyantynivka and Kramatorsk. This concentration signals a significant escalation in enemy activity in those areas. According to Zyrokhov, Russian forces have managed to cross the state border in the Kharkiv region, where the situation has become extremely challenging, with some frontline sectors already breached.

Escalation on the Frontier

In addition to the Kharkiv incursion, Russian units are slowly advancing in the Sumy direction, where conditions are also described as very difficult. The city of Sumy is under repeated attacks from guided aerial bombs, worsening the overall security environment. Over the past 24 hours alone, the aggressor launched 227 assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions, underscoring the intensity of combat across the region.

Zyrokhov noted that despite the overall grim picture, Ukrainian troops have achieved localized successes.

“Aerial reconnaissance operators from the National Guard of Ukraine’s Lasar's Group managed to destroy a Russian Buk-M3 and an S-300 system on the Kostyantynivka axis,”
he emphasized. These actions demonstrate that Ukrainian forces remain active and capable of striking high-value targets even under heavy pressure.

Prospects and Ongoing Pressure

While acknowledging the extreme difficulty of the situation, Zyrokhov pointed to certain indicators that suggest possible shifts in the near term. Such markers could signal upcoming changes in the dynamics of the conflict. The frontline remains tense, with fierce engagements along multiple axes. The Russian buildup near Kostyantynivka and Kramatorsk, combined with the border breach in Kharkiv, points to a potential escalation. At the same time, Ukrainian strikes on Russian air defense systems may alter the tactical balance. This analysis comes amid ongoing Russian offensives in eastern and northeastern Ukraine, where both sides continue to suffer heavy losses. Close monitoring is essential, as the next developments could significantly affect the war’s trajectory and regional security.
