Estonia’s Foreign Minister Warns in Israel: Iran and Russia Destabilize Europe and the Middle East.
Estonian Foreign Minister Visits Israel
According to UATV: During his trip to Israel on March 17, Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna voiced deep concern over the threats Russia poses to both Europe and the Middle East. Key discussions focused on recent regional developments and their security implications, especially the growing partnership between Iran and Russia.
Tsahkna stressed that long-term stability in the Middle East is vital for Estonia. He pointed out that Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, its backing of terrorist organizations, and its assistance to Russia in the war against Ukraine all represent serious dangers to regional and global peace.
“That is why Estonia supports the steps taken by the United States and Israel to eliminate these threats,” — Margus Tsahkna.
The minister also highlighted the clear sides in the conflict: “It is obvious which side Russia is on and which side Ukraine is on.” He emphasized that pushing back against Russia and continuing to support Ukraine is essential for the security of both Europe and the Middle East.
Growing Alarm Among Baltic Nations
Tsahkna’s visit to Israel underscores the rising concern among Baltic states and other European countries about Russia’s impact on international security, particularly amid ongoing Middle Eastern conflicts. Estonia’s active backing of Ukraine and its coordination with allies like the U.S. and Israel reflect a strong commitment to collective security in the region.
This visit also signals Europe’s increasing readiness to confront threats stemming from Russia’s aggressive foreign policy.
