Planned Electricity Blackouts in the Kyiv Region

According to Novyny.live: DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, has announced a schedule of planned power outages for the Kyiv region today, February 11. The utility has implemented a 12-group rotation system, meaning consumers across the area should prepare for temporary disruptions to their electricity supply.

The detailed schedule was published by DTEK on its Telegram channel, specifying outage times for each consumer group. The schedule is as follows:

  • Group 1: Outages from 03:00 to 10:00 and from 13:30 to 20:30.
  • Groups 2.1 and 2.2: Follow a similar schedule to Group 1 for the first period, with Group 2.1's second outage lasting until 17:00.
  • Groups 3.1 and 3.2: Power will be off from 00:00 to 03:00, 06:30 to 13:30, and 17:00 to 24:00 (Group 3.2 ends its second outage earlier, at 11:00).
  • Groups 4.1 and 4.2: Group 4.1 outages from 00:00 to 03:00, 06:30 to 13:30, and 17:00 to 20:30. Group 4.2 from 06:30 to 13:30 and 17:00 to 24:00.
  • Groups 5.1 and 5.2: Outages from 00:00 to 06:30, 10:00 to 17:00, and 20:30 to 24:00, with some variations in the schedule for Group 5.2.
  • The final two groups, 6.1 and 6.2: A similar pattern of outages, with periods from 00:00 to 06:30, 10:00 to 17:00, and 20:30 to 24:00.

These emergency measures are necessary to balance the national power grid and manage consumption amid a severe shortage of generating capacity. Residents are strongly advised to plan their daily activities around these announced schedules.

This rolling blackout schedule highlights the ongoing strain on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, a consequence of sustained attacks on the power system.

It is crucial for residents of the Kyiv region to stay informed about these changes and adjust their plans to accommodate the temporary power cuts.
