In Odesa, there are no planned power outages on August 9: what is known about the situation
The energy system of the country is still being restored after Russian attacks, and this requires some time. However, tomorrow, on Saturday, August 9, there are no plans to impose restrictions on power supply in Odesa.

This conclusion can be drawn from the fact that neither DTEK nor Ukrenergo warned about any restrictions.

Electricity consumption has decreased

Electricity consumption shows a decreasing trend. Today, on August 8, as of 9:30, it was 4.2% lower than at the same time the previous day – Thursday. The reason is the decline in heat across all of Ukraine, except for part of the southern regions. Additionally, clear weather in all regions contributes to the effective operation of household solar power plants and accordingly reduces energy consumption from the grid.

Where to find the schedules

If outages are still imposed, energy workers will provide advance notice. You can check which group your house belongs to on the website of the local distribution system operator. DTEK calls on residents of the Odesa region to understand the restrictions and to reduce electricity consumption when power is available to avoid system overloads.

How to know the time of power restoration

The time of power restoration can be found using:

  • DTEK Odesa Electric Networks website (section 'No electricity?');
  • a Telegram chatbot;
  • private messages on Facebook;
  • submitting a request on the DTEK website.

Recall that we recently wrote about the cost of electricity in August. Also about the tariff for UBP for Odesites.

After the Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy system, the restoration process continues, but tomorrow in Odesa, no restrictions on electricity supply are anticipated. Electricity consumption shows a decline, thanks to the decrease in heat and clear weather, which contribute to the operation of solar power plants. Be prepared for possible outages, check the schedules, and find out the time of power restoration using available information resources.
