Agricultural Support for Frontline Communities

According to Novyny.live: Households in vulnerable groups within Ukraine's frontline regions can apply for agricultural support grants in February 2026. This initiative, part of the 'FARM' project implemented by Caritas-Spes Ukraine, offers a vital lifeline to those whose livelihoods have been disrupted by the ongoing conflict. The grants are designed to help stabilize and rebuild local food production in areas heavily impacted by the war.

The available grants range from 33.6 thousand UAH (approximately $774) to 125 thousand UAH (approximately $2,800). In addition to the main funding, program participants can receive supplementary training funds ranging from 8.4 thousand UAH (about $193) to 16.8 thousand UAH (about $387). This combined approach aims not only to provide immediate financial aid but also to enhance participants' skills for long-term resilience.

Eligible Locations and Permitted Grant Uses

The grant project covers settlements within the Barvinkivska community in the Kharkiv region, specifically the villages of:

  • Ivanivka
  • Dmytrivka
  • Marivka
  • Chervona Balka

Funds received through the program may be used for a variety of agricultural purposes, including:

  • purchasing seeds
  • buying fertilizers
  • acquiring animal feed
  • veterinary services
  • young livestock
  • farming tools and equipment
  • repair work

This support is intended to improve agricultural conditions in a region facing significant hardship due to military activities.

The program provides crucial assistance to local residents affected by the conflict who need help reviving their farms. The 'FARM' grant scheme is part of broader efforts to restore economic stability in Ukraine's frontline districts. By combining direct funding with skills development, the initiative seeks to foster more effective farming practices and support the recovery of socio-economic life in these communities.
