The government allocated 1.6 billion UAH for eRecovery: who will receive new housing.
The government of Ukraine continues to implement the state program 'eRecovery', which helps families who lost their homes due to the war return to normal life. The government has allocated another 1.6 billion UAH to compensate those affected, announced Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on Telegram.
Of this amount, 1.3 billion UAH will go towards housing certificates, which 839 Ukrainians can use to purchase new housing. Another 335 million UAH will be spent on rebuilding private houses for 152 families whose homes were destroyed or damaged.
Who will receive compensation under the eRecovery program
The program is available for Ukrainian citizens whose housing was damaged or destroyed after February 24, 2022. Applicants must have ownership rights registered in the State Register of Real Rights. Priority is given to veterans, combatants, and other vulnerable categories. However, individuals under sanctions or with criminal records for offenses against national security cannot receive compensation.
The 'eRecovery' program faces challenges such as bureaucratic delays and documentation issues. The government plans to continue funding the program to support all families affected by the war.
