HUR hackers attacked the financial sector of the Russian Federation: which companies were hit.
Specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a cyberattack on the Russian financial sector, including Alfa Bank, the operator 'Rostelecom' and the bank 'Otkritie'. This was reported by Liga.net, citing intelligence sources.
According to sources, due to the attack in the fast payment system, there was a global failure: the mobile applications of banks, online banking and internal services of institutions stopped working.
HUR emphasized that the attacked objects ensure Russian aggression against Ukraine.
At the same Time, pro-Russian media reported a global failure in Russian banks, but did not disclose its cause. They also cannot name the timing of the resumption of the financial institutions' operations.
Let us recall that in September, Ukrainian intelligence conducted a successful cyber operation - they hacked the federal center for issuing digital signatures of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram. It is noted that the obtained data will be put up for sale, and the funds received will be transferred to the needs of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
By the way, on the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, an image of a Ukrainian warrior with the inscription 'We will restore the borders to the last meter' appeared on 33 sites affiliated with Russian enterprises from occupied cities.
