Hackers of GUR carried out an attack on satellite communications in Russia – source.

Experts from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted a cyber attack on the IT infrastructure of the national operator of the mobile satellite communication system "Morsvyazsputnik". This was reported by sources in the GUR MOU.

Russian state systems for monitoring maritime transport movement, the transportation and logistics company "Fesco", as well as the enterprises "Rosmorport" and "Rosmorrechport" were also attacked, sources stated.

According to the agency's interlocutors, following the DDOS attack, there were system failures in accessing websites and electronic resources of the attack targets. This led to instability in satellite communications used for monitoring and controlling maritime transport movement.

The military intelligence noted that Russian media were ordered to conceal the fact of the DDOS attack on the specified targets, preventing an objective assessment of the economic damage to Russia.

Today, the international hacker group Head Mare claimed responsibility for hacking the web servers of the Russian company "NII Ferrit Domen". This is reported on the group's official account on the X network (formerly Twitter). It is noted that the enterprise is involved in the construction of radar equipment for Russian anti-aircraft missile systems and manufactures onboard equipment for Russian satellites. The hackers released the company's documentation and personal data of Alexander Ivanov, the Deputy General Director for Regime and Security of "NII Ferrit Domen".

Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian intelligence officers hacked the federal center for issuing digital signatures in Russia. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram. It is noted that the obtained data will be put up for sale and the proceeds will be transferred to the needs of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
