Ukrainian TV presenter Katya Osadcha expressed her opinion that the departure of teenagers from Ukraine amid the war is a loss of human potential for the country. She emphasized the difficulties faced by Ukrainian families due to the war and cautioned against forced mobilization for those unwilling to fight. Osadcha urged support for the youth in Ukraine, discussing their educational and career prospects.
«What we are losing human capital in this way, and these teenagers are leaving, and may not return - this needs to be considered... Because, really, mothers are taking their sons abroad... How to keep these boys? Forcing them to fight? I think that at 18, it would be an incorrect decision by the state,» emphasized Katya Osadcha.
The presenter’s remarks caused mixed reactions online, with blogger Bohdan Bespalov considering Osadcha's statements to be 'hypocritical' and pointing to double standards among celebrity families. Osadcha's comments became the subject of heated discussions among social media users.
