Tragedy in the nursing home
No less than 11 people have died, and over 30 were injured as a result of a fire that broke out in a nursing home in the Bosnian city of Tuzla on Tuesday evening.According to The Sun: The fire started on the seventh floor at around 8:45 PM. Videos that emerged online show flames and smoke on the upper floors, where many residents lived.
“We received a lot of calls, and the rescuers worked as quickly as possible,” local emergency services reported.
The injured were taken to hospitals, and an investigation into the causes of the fire is ongoing.
One possible cause of the tragedy may be the lack of a proper fire safety system in the nursing home. This has sparked discussions about the need to improve living conditions in such facilities to prevent similar incidents in the future. The situation was complicated by the fact that most residents were elderly people who require special care and attention.Read also
