Voidokilia Beach is considered one of the best in Greece. Its lagoon shape provides shallow water and small waves, making it a great spot for swimming with kids.

Although the beach can be crowded in the peak seasons, in October you can enjoy the coziness and tranquility.

This beach is located in the region of Messinia, near the traditional town of Pylos, with its white houses and ancient fortress.

The nearest airport to Messinia is Kalamata International Airport, and one-way tickets in October start from £30 with Ryanair. The flight takes less than four hours.

Simos Beach

Fatima also mentioned:

“Simos Beach on the island of Elafonissos is beautiful. You have to take a ferry to get to the island, but it's worth it.”

This small island, located between Peloponnese and Kythera, is accessible from Athens. Although you will have to spend some time traveling, Simos Beach is famous for its untouched natural beauty.

One-way tickets from Athens start at £25 in October if you fly with Ryanair from London Stansted.

Halkidiki

“Halkidiki in northern Greece has numerous beaches that are off the tourist routes on the first peninsula, Cassandra.”

“Or the beaches on the second peninsula, Sithonia, where the water is crystal clear, soft sandy shore, and shallow coves. These are the best beaches for family vacations.”

The best beach in Cassandra according to Tripadvisor is Posidi Beach, and in Sithonia, it is Kalogria Beach.

Fatima Hawkins Fatima Hawkins emphasized that these beaches are a great choice for those looking for sun and relaxation even in October days. Greece during the autumn period becomes a separate destination for tourists, as with mild temperatures and fewer holidaymakers, you will get the opportunity to enjoy the nature and culture of the country in a much calmer atmosphere.
