Electricity imports will rise to 2300 MW: when will this happen.
According to inkorr.com: In December 2025, Ukraine plans to increase electricity supplies from the European Union to 2300 megawatts, up from 2100. As noted by the head of 'Ukrenergo' Vitaliy Zaichenko, agreements have been reached with European system operators, which will allow for an increase in available imported electricity volumes. This will ensure support at any moment.
“We continue to work with our European partners regarding the increase of electricity imports. Currently, 2100 megawatts cannot be utilized due to internal restrictions in the energy system,” Zaichenko stated.
It was previously reported that it was about increasing the maximum import capacity of electricity into the country, but due to damage to internal networks, Ukraine cannot fully realize these opportunities.
Summary: Ukraine hopes to increase electricity supplies from Europe to 2300 megawatts from 2100 due to agreements with European operators. However, current internal restrictions in the energy system do not allow for the complete realization of these opportunities.
