The 'Disability' Scandal. Former Head of the Khmelnytsky Prosecutor's Office Appointed to a New Position.
Due to the disability scandal, Oleksiy Oliynyk has been appointed prosecutor of the regional prosecutor's office of Khmelnytskyi region, reports the Anti-Corruption Center.
Oliynyk will serve as prosecutor until March 2026, while his colleague is on parental leave.
The Office of the Prosecutor General has continued the internal investigation into the Khmelnytsky prosecutors with disabilities due to the need for additional checks.
Prosecutors with disabilities from Khmelnytsky continue to work in law enforcement while the investigation is ongoing.
As of now, the results of the investigation are not ready, Oliynyk and another 60 prosecutors with disabilities from Khmelnytsky region will continue to work in the prosecutor's office and receive applicable pension payments.
Recall that Oleksiy Oliynyk was dismissed from the position of head of the Khmelnytsky Prosecutor's Office. The internal investigation regarding the obtaining of disability groups by prosecutors of the Khmelnytsky regional prosecutor's office is ongoing.
It was previously reported that more than 50 prosecutors from Khmelnytsky, including regional prosecutor Oliynyk, were granted disability, possibly in connection with the corruption scheme of Tetiana Krupa at the MSEC. This was reported by journalist Yuriy Butusov after an investigation.
In response, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine signed an order to initiate an internal investigation regarding the information on the obtaining of disability groups by 50 prosecutors of the Khmelnytsky regional prosecutor's office.
