The Iranian Embassy Congratulates Ukrainians on Christmas: Reaction to Cynicism.
According to ТСН: The Embassy of Iran, which actively supports Russian aggression against Ukraine, has cynically congratulated Ukrainians on Christmas and New Year.
A video of this greeting appeared on the official page of the diplomatic institution on Facebook.
The ambassador of the country supplying the Shahed drones, which are used to kill Ukrainians, stated that he "sincerely congratulates" the Ukrainian people on Christmas and the new beginning of the year.
On the greeting card shown in the video, Iran hopes that 2026 will "be a harbinger of establishing lasting peace and prosperity for Ukraine".
The video also features images of Christian churches in Iran celebrating Christmas.
The design of the greeting includes Christmas tree decorations in the shape of balls in the colors of the national flags of Iran and Ukraine.
"We hope that in the New Year, with the establishment of sustainable peace, we will witness tranquility, prosperity, and a bright future for Ukraine," reads the inscription at the end of this video.
Ukrainians are actively expressing their dissatisfaction in the comments regarding this "greeting".
Interestingly, recently there has been a mass distribution of leaflets in several cities in Iran calling to join the Russian army. These events further emphasize the paradox of the greeting, which has caused outrage among Ukrainians.
