Iran and Russia secretly negotiate the development of a nuclear program - media.

Iran is strengthening military cooperation with Russia and enhancing its nuclear capabilities through secret diplomatic missions, despite negotiations with the West regarding the nuclear deal. This was reported by The Times.
According to the publication, Ali Larijani, an advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, met with Russian officials to seek assistance from Russia in developing its nuclear program and air defense capabilities. An Iranian representative regularly flew to Moscow, even after the start of negotiations with the West.
As they deepen their strategic relations, and Russia relies on Iran for missiles and drones, there are concerns that Moscow is prepared to cross previously established red lines in Iran's nuclear program, said one Western intelligence official.
Nuclear non-proliferation expert William Albrecht claims that Iran benefits from cooperation with Russia, even if it does not plan to create a nuclear bomb. The expert believes that Tehran could learn to build more complex and effective bombs.
Moreover, Iran intends to modernize its air force and obtain the latest version of the Russian fighter jet, as well as plans to improve its air defense systems. The country also reached out to Russia for assistance in rearming the 'Hezbollah' group.
