Iran Threatens to Strike Ukraine Over Alleged Support for Israel; Kyiv Dismisses Warning as Absurd.
Iran Issues Warning to Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Iran has threatened military action against Ukraine, accusing Kyiv of backing Israel and claiming that Ukrainian territory could become a target for Iranian forces. The statement was delivered by Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament's National Security Commission. In response, Heorhii Tykhyi, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dismissed the threats as absurd, pointing out that Iran has for years supplied Moscow with drones and technology used in aggression against Ukraine.

Azizi also claimed that Kyiv is supporting Israel, including through drone assistance, and argued that Ukraine has effectively entered the conflict. In light of these developments, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the U.S. and several Middle Eastern countries have asked for Ukraine’s help in countering Iranian drones. Kyiv has already dispatched experts to the region to work alongside international partners and has proposed a Drone Deal to the United States, offering its own technology.
Regional Tensions Escalate
The standoff underscores rising tensions in the region, as Ukraine works to bolster its security through cooperation with global allies. Kyiv’s response to Iran’s threats and its stepped-up international efforts to counter Iranian drone capabilities could significantly shape future developments, particularly in relation to partnerships with the U.S. and Middle Eastern nations. Additional measures may prove crucial in ensuring stability and security moving forward.
