Ireland’s Latest Support Package for Ukraine
According to UATV: During a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin announced a new €125 million aid package for Ukraine. This marks Martin’s first visit to Kyiv since Ireland assumed the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, a role it took over at the start of 2023.
President Zelenskyy highlighted the significance of Ireland’s backing, stating:
“We appreciate that during Ireland’s presidency of the European Union Council, you are here with us, with Ukraine, supporting Ukraine.”

This fresh financial commitment is part of broader global efforts to assist Ukraine amid ongoing challenges. The Irish aid package underscores how crucial international support remains for Ukraine, especially given the prolonged conflict and severe economic strain.
