Italy provided funds for the restoration of monuments in Odesa.
Italy will allocate 32 million euros for the restoration of six architectural monuments in Odesa that were damaged by Russian shelling. Work is expected to begin in early 2026.
Odesa received funding thanks to a Grant Agreement between the Governments of Ukraine and Italy. The money will be directed towards the restoration of such sites as the Odesa National Art Museum, the Odesa Museum of Western and Eastern Art, the Odesa Regional Philharmonic named after David Oistrakh, the Odesa Literary Museum, the Zontag House, and the Palace of Marriages.
