Kyiv residents face constant power outages: what the expert reported.
The threat of constant power outages for Kyiv residents
According to inkorr.com: Kyiv may face regular power outages due to shelling. This warning comes from Oleg Popenko, head of the Union of Consumers of Utility Services. He emphasized that after the missile strike on the capital, the situation with electricity supply has become critical, and each new attack only worsens the situation. If the attacks continue, Kyiv residents may experience issues with constant power outages in their homes.
'If the shelling continues and the Russians repeat one or two such full-scale raids within a certain period, we should say that the outages in the homes of Kyiv residents will be constant. Right now, there are only emergency outages, but emergency outages will turn into permanent schedules.'
Popenko noted. He also pointed out the importance of monitoring the state of thermal networks in the capital, as many pipes are in emergency condition, and the pace of their repair leaves much to be desired. This could lead to further aggravation of the energy crisis in Kyiv.
The situation with electricity supply in the capital remains complicated. Authorities and energy companies may face new challenges if the shelling continues. In the event of regular attacks, Kyiv residents should be prepared for possible long-term outages, which will significantly impact their daily lives.
