According to Novyny.live: Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, has issued a strong warning: wartime bravery cannot be used as a license to bypass the law. He stressed that all public officials must operate strictly within legal boundaries and uphold ethical standards in their work. Kim highlighted the effectiveness of the 'Transparency and Accountability' task force, which focuses on preventing corrupt practices rather than just punishing them after the fact.

Key Anti-Corruption Priorities

Kim outlined his top priorities for fighting corruption, emphasizing that investing in human capital is critical for Ukraine’s post-war recovery. He urged all stakeholders to follow the law, stating:

“If you proved yourself a hero during the full-scale invasion and did everything possible for our defense, that does not give you the right to operate outside the legal framework.”

The Mykolaiv governor also pointed to promising partnerships with Nordic and Baltic countries, which could play a key role in rebuilding the economy and strengthening anti-corruption efforts. He stressed the importance of documenting prevention measures:

“If you prevented an offense, record it in your report.”
