Russia against Ukraine: the third anniversary of the war in the focus of the UN

During the meeting of the General Assembly and the UN Security Council, which will take place on the occasion of the third anniversary of the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, Serhiy Kyslytsia, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, stated that this event has become a tragic tradition.

He reminded that already in 2022, during the meeting of the General Assembly, the situation in the temporarily occupied territories was discussed, and soon after, the full-scale aggression of Russia began. Previous meetings took place in 2023 and 2024, and at the meeting in 2023, a resolution on the principles of peace in Ukraine was adopted.

Currently, it is planned to discuss the issue at this meeting of the General Assembly as well as the UN Security Council. Serhiy Kyslytsia also noted that he will communicate with the Chinese delegation, which will preside over the Security Council in February. In addition, other events are planned to take place in New York, with announcements to be made later.
