Kyiv allocated 3.7 billion hryvnias for the protection of critical infrastructure

According to inkorr.com: Kyiv has made the decision to allocate 3.7 billion hryvnias for the equipping of critical infrastructure of the second level. These funds will be directed towards the construction of reinforced concrete shelters for important city facilities. Part of the funding has already been received by the Recovery Agency under the Ministry of Infrastructure, which will be responsible for the implementation of this important project. This was reported by the city mayor Vitali Klitschko before a meeting of the Kyiv Defense Council.

'After the completion of the first level of protection, which was accepted by the commission with the participation of the State Special Communications, we have formed a program for backup energy supply and protection of the most important objects of level 2,' Klitschko wrote in his Telegram channel.

The mayor of Kyiv emphasized that the city will ensure full funding for this program without involving external resources. 'For these shelters, a total of 3.7 billion hryvnias is allocated, of which we have already transferred 2.7 billion. Financially, we have coped, and we have taken on the execution of the program. And Kyiv has coped with this task,' added the head of the capital.

This news underscores the importance of developing and improving the protection system for the critical infrastructure of Kyiv, which is becoming increasingly relevant under modern conditions. Investments in security remain a priority for the Kyiv authorities, ensuring reliable protection for residents and city facilities in times of danger.

Such measures demonstrate the city's commitment to ensuring the safety of Kyiv residents. In times of growing challenges, investing in shelters and the protection of critically important facilities becomes essential in light of the current situation. Further stages of the program's implementation remain under the control of deputies and local leadership.
